Keen to repeat the theme from last year (a spring animal-themed weekend - last year = Badminton) we headed up to Birmingham to experience Crufts - the world's biggest annual dog show. The place is a mecca for all dog enthusiasts (not that we are) but at this scale (28,000 dogs) you can't fail to be impressed.

On display were amazing feats of agility, slightly odd (but very impressive) dancing dogs, complete show ponies as well as every type of dog-related product you could possibly think of, spread across 5 football fields worth of indoor stadium.

The real reason everyone was there though, was the coveted Best in Show prize. From judging on the outer courts where dogs were put through their paces to our grandstand seats at the final judging this was serious business.

The eventual winner was Yogi, a Hungarian Vizla. He wouldn't sit still long enough for us to snap his photo so we've had to use some creative licence to get his mug for this entry...
